Sail Area – 592 sqft / 55 sqm

Mainsail

June 2014, while in Majuro, MH, new mainsail replaced with Doyle Ocean Plus Mainsail, Dimension-Polyant 410 SF Dacron. Prior to the 2014 upgrade, replaced the mainsail in March 2009 in Road Town, Tortola with Doyle Sail Makers mainsail (backup).

Headsail:

March 2020, while in the Philippines, replaced the headsail with a new cross-cut construction Fibercon AP 7.38; approximate sail area 18m2. Also, repaired old headsail (backup) – stitching, patching, and fixing luff foil at bottom end via Hyde Sails Philippines.

Main-Reacher

May 2015, while in Majuro, MH, new main-reacher sail installed – Vectran luff; 496 sq ft, 3.0 oz. Nylon (blue) via Doyle Sails.

Spinnaker

September 2005, while in USVI, new Spinnaker NorLon 2 and NorDac materials, Nylon via North Sails.

Captain Pete continued to use the "big spinnaker" (or "spinny") intermittently throughout his voyages with Miss Kiss, notably setting a personal record of over 1,400 nautical miles on it during the 2010 Pacific crossing. In March 2024, while sailing toward Brunei, he noted that he had "finally put up [the] big spinnaker" and that it was still in good shape, though he remarked he had not used it in "many years".
