Yippee new Starlink delivered & installed in Kudat, Malaysia. May be more expensive then dumb phones, but this retired satellite engineer is finally back on satellite. Really want/need reliable weather information for safe sailing. Not held hostage to goofy dumb phone costs, or the reliability/availability problems when traveling. Really wanted Starlink before travel to Philippines. They force you to per-register arrival but only allow 3 days prior to do that. Takes longer to sail to Philippines from Borneo and with no Filipino cell, & your dumb phone roaming doesn’t work, you can be facing large fines for not having the stupid pre-registration properly done.
