Rewired Whole Power System, plus Non-Skid in Salon and Cockpit

April & May rewired my whole power system onto what I call the “power wall”.

Visa ends in June again.  Time to sail north to reset the damn Visa.

Got my last care packages from Rick. He sent boat documents and goodies like smoked clam, bean coffee. Wanted to leave this week, holidays till next Wednesday so check out Wednesday & sail to Brunei on Thursday next week. They have more holidays then the Caribbean here I think.

Lots of projects while waiting for Ricks stuff. Non-skid in salon, lot nicer than messy paint on stuff. Re-engineered main motor lift. It would lock at top & I could not release without jumping down on motor platform. Not very safe by myself and coming into a anchorage or mooring. A pick of the successful fish trips with boat in front of me. My lamb stew on board-yummy! Comm cable for motor was 10 meters long, make it a 1 meter cable. Spent a few days re-doing my power. Added a 12V-12V charger for house batteries. Mounted all on the Power wall except for 120V inverter. What a job.

Yesterday & today sanding down & re-painting non-skid in cockpit AND starting on all interior varnishing. No end of work, should be busy right up to departure next week. It is hell because of the heat & humidity. Sometimes middle of the day just sit in front of fans blowing. Work in morning then later afternoon. Being in a marina, can really work at night which would disturb my neighbors, ha need to go find a secluded anchorage where I can jump in the water to cool off and NOT get ate by Crocodiles.

Except for heat & NASTY gnats, surviving so far. Wind is starting to blow to north east, time to use that to head back to Philippines.
